Jarrett and Jordan Dahl are award-winning, internationally recognized chainsaw artists who use the backdrop of the beautiful Black Hills to create their chainsaw carvings. These original pieces of chainsaw art are completed from Black Hills (ponderosa) pine and other local woods, which adds to their uniqueness. No piece of art is identical to the other and each brother has their own style.

Subjects can vary from Bigfoot to the famous Freedom Eagles, custom pieces, and even a 36,000-pound archway. The Dahl brothers have come to be known as the Carvers of the Hills, and you can check out the gallery of the art pieces here. Country Store at Three Forks is a convenience store that is located 4 miles outside of Hill City near Sheridan Lake.  The store offers gas, food, ice, as well as souvenirs.  Connected to the Country Store is the Country Inn.  The Country Inn offers a grill, bar and a casino.  Both of these places are open year around.

Alexander Drilling, Inc. has been in business since 1971, and is located just outside of Hill City. We specialize in hard rock drilling of water wells, in addition to pumping systems sales and service  in the Black Hills.

We are well known in the area for our professionalism, quality workmanship, and knowldege in the water well industry. We are a licensed driller and pump installer in the States of South Dakota & Wyoming. This license requires us to do continuing education, which we do at the local and national level, keeping us current and up to date in new practices within our industry. We are members of the SD Water Well Association and the National Groundwater Association.

We drill water wells for new construction, repair, rehabilitate, deepen, and abandon existing wells. We also drill exploration wells, test and monitor wells for mining and environmental purposes, and geothermal wells.

In addition to drilling wells, we sell and install new pumps, and repair existing pump systems. We are also able to provide hydro-fracturing of water wells which can improve the production of your well.

We provide services to residential, commercial, governmental and mining agencies in the Black Hills area and look forward to working with you.
